A good group tour if you are travelling on your own. Catherine was knowledgeable and easy to be around, and the train out and the walk over were part of the pleasure. The guided part ends inside, so the gardens are yours afterwards.

Use the lavatory at the start, because the next one is at the end. The grounds are enormous and you walk a lot of them, though there is a little train if you would rather not.
