Château de Versailles, Place d'Armes, 78000 Versailles, France. That is in the Yvelines, about 20 km south-west of Paris — the estate is not in Paris, which is the first thing worth knowing about getting to it.
Hours
Palace 9.00am to 6.30pm from April to October and to 5.30pm from November to March, closed Mondays. The Estate of Trianon opens at midday. The gardens open at 7.00am in high season and 8.00am in low season, every day of the year.
